About the DMV Therapists Directory
Created by a local psychologist, the DMV Therapists Directory strives to be a go-to resource for connecting solo and small group private practices with valued clients in the DC Metro Area
Our Story
Tired of seeing solo and small group private practices outspent and overrun by corporate tech giants, Dr. Kirsten McNelis, a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington, DC, decided to level the playing field. As a local practice owner, she watched firsthand as massive directories left clinicians buried and clients frustrated by endless, out-of-date listings that lacked truly local providers. To give independent practices back the competitive edge and restore simplicity to the client search, Dr. McNelis decided to disrupt the disruptors. And the DMV Therapists Directory was born!
